An Amazing Transformation

Ok, I knew there were going to be big changes at 313 Duncan
Street.  Four years ago, I represented
the seller of this Victorian.  The
Before:  a two bedroom, one bath home
with an unconventional layout.  It had
two sliding glass doors connecting the living room and the kitchen to the rear
deck and the sunny, south facing garden.
There was a cottage at the rear of the property that needed quite a bit
of work. The buyer had plans to renovate the home and mentioned that he wanted
to widen the house to the lot line, and also build up.

The result—a sophisticated 4 bedroom, 4 and a half bath home
with a guest cottage in the rear.  The
Victorian façade is juxtaposed with the very modern structure.  It appears that the façade was the only part
of the original house that remains, and it, too is modified (check out the
windows).  This fabulous home has amazing
light, sophisticated finishes and feels really terrific.  The cottage has been extensively renovated,
as well.  This is a stunning transformation,
and one of the nicest homes I have seen in San Francisco in months.

Available for $2,850,000.
